Sample Designs:

Several of our proprietary liftboat designs have been built with a track record of several years of efficient construction and successful and safe operations.  Samples of our proprietary designs are shown below:

OM 100-4 and OM 103-4  Liftboat

Classed and built to the requirements of ABS MODU rules, the 100-4 and 103-4  Class tubular leg liftboats are considered among the most capable in their class in the liftboat industry.  Using the most up to date design technology,  these liftboats can reach water depth ranges of between 215' and 230' (65m-70m) and can accommodate 200-250 people.  Two 200 MT crane are incorporated into the design.  About 1,000 m2 of deck space is available along with 1,300-1,500 MT total variable load. The OML Intervention 1 (Previously AOS Intervention I) and OML Intervention II have operated in the waters of the UAE and Saudi Arabia for several years.

120-4 Liftboat

The 120-4  Class lattice leg liftboat is considered the most capable in the liftboat industry.  With a unique optimization of design parameters, the liftboat can operate in up to 282' (85m) water depth in wave heights of up to 30' (10m) while meeting ABS MODU rules.  Current design can accommodate 180 men in 1, 2 and 4-man cabins.  A 300 MT crane is incorporated into the design but the design can comfortably support cranes of up to 500 MT.  About 1,100 m2 of deck space is available along with 1,500 total variable load. For the performance and capability, this design is probably the most cost effective in the industry.  Two liftboats of this design will start construction soon to be delivered in 2017.

400LE Liftboat

Offshore Mechanics, Inc. prepared the basic design of this jackup liftboat. The 400LE liftboat has the strength performance characteristics of a jackup unit and the mobility of a liftboat. It has 400' long lattice legs that are designed to operate in up to 250' water depth in wind speeds of up to 100 knots and wave heights of up to 35'.

The vessel can accommodate 100 people on board. It has 3 azimuthing thrusters that allow it to sail at 6 knot speed. The vessel has a large amount of deck space to allow it to perform traditional liftboat operations such as wireline services as well as general construction work. It can also be fitted with a cantilever to allow it to perform some drilling services. The 400LE is equipped with a jacking system that combines high jacking speed with large holding capacity thus eliminating the need to use fixation systems such as rack chocks. The rated variable load of this liftboat is 1600 metric tonnes when no cantilever is installed.
